ART REVIEWS THROUGH A CREATIVE LENS
Seriously Thoughtful - Always Critical
Glossary was launched on January 9, 2016.
SENTIMENT#1 JANUARY, 2016
Glossary Magazine is publishing reviews about San Francisco Bay Area art,
through a creative lens.
It is a project space for looking at and interpreting art, as much as it is a critical voice.
It is for gallery goers and artists, collectors and scholars, thinkers and lovers;
or those who are learning or want to be.
It is a familiar story told in a different way.
Because, no real progress can be made
by doing things the same way as everyone else, or as before.
Enjoy! - Leora Lutz
Glossary is published online in Oakland, California from an old HP desktop in an office corner located in Leora Lutz's 1920s apartment, where five sash windows fill the room with north eastern light all day long.
Glossary illuminates artwork, beyond first glance.
Glossary is about engaging with art in meaningful and innovative ways;
to look, to read and to share.
Glossary logo and favicon is created using Chromatext, a color typography by Leora Lutz,
It reads G(rey) L(avender) O(chre) S(epia) S(epia A(quamarine) R(ed) Y(ellow), 2015.
Glossary is free to the public, and is written, operated, and published by Leora Lutz, a writer, artist and educator located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Collaboration and support between writers, editors, publications and venues is vital.
We are all valuable.
"In a general sense, a glossary contains explanations of concepts relevant to a certain field of study or action." (Wikipedia)
